The short and tall of it

April 24th, 2012 by admin No comments »

It isn’t always easy being just about the shortest person in a family of rather tall people.  In fact, my older brother (who is now six feet five inches) used to, very lovingly, sing to me ‘Short people got no reason to live’ on a regular basis.  Such a charming teenager he was too.  So, while my brothers, in particular, grew to well over six foot giants (think of them as rather stout oak trees), and even my sisters surpassed me one by one in height, I have remained in the middle five foot range, wondering what happened.  With my shoes on I might tip five foot, six inches, and that is on a good day.

However, I have recently discovered an amazing invention.  Platform flip flops (or you can call them wedge flip flops, I believe.)  What this means is that I can stand up to my tall family and not be ashamed.  Amazing.  And they aren’t even ugly.  Oka b. has womens sandals with a heel that they combined into rhinestone flip flops so that the ending effect is quite dazzling.  Nice enough, in fact, that I could wear white wedge flip flops to my wedding and not be ashamed.  Then again, my husband is on the smaller end of his family, so bridal flip flops with a large heel were kind of out of the question.  You never want to be taller than the love of your life on your most special of all days.  Kind of awkward: to say the least.

However, the discovery of such beach footwear as a brown wedge flip flop is quite stunning and has revolutionized not only vacationing in style, but family reunions at Bear Lake as well.  No one is going to call me shorty any longer.  I’m making a comeback.  Thank you Oka b. and your beautiful spring 2012 sandal collection.

African & Kenyan Safaris

April 24th, 2012 by admin No comments »

Experience Of A Lifetime

A Kenyan safari holiday was once considered a ‘once in a lifetime’ trip. Not any more. Though it will be the experience of a lifetime an African Safari costs less than it used to. To visit East Africa and see the wildlife, enjoy its beautiful scenery and friendly people is now within the reach of most travellers.

However, if you have never visited the country and experienced the wonders of a safari you may not know where to start in planning your holiday, that’s where we come in. Whether you want to spend 7 days or 7 weeks on holiday we will work with you, to help plan your itinerary, suggest the best hotels and lodges to suit you and your family, cater for your day to day requirements, and all working within your budget.

The Perfect Holiday

Should you wish to combine your safari with a luxury villa or hotel at the coast, this in our opinion is the perfect holiday. A ten day safari, during which you can experience all the wonders of Kenya, followed by a relaxing stay at the coast is a combination made in heaven. Of course the length of your stay, both on safari and at the coast is entirely your decision.

Your coastal holiday can be spent either in Mombasa, Malindi, Kilifi, Vipingo or Watamu, all of which are on the Kenyan coast, or travel further afield to one of the islands, the spice island of Zanzibar, the quiet solitude of Lamu or the beautiful green island of Pemba, which together with Zanzibar and Mafia Island form the Zanzibar archipelago.

The Choice Is Yours

Although to many people East Africa means ‘safari holiday‘ when it comes to holidays, that need not be so. Kenya, Tanzania, and the Islands have some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. And if all you want is a relaxing, pampered, coastal holiday then East Africa can offer you the best there is.

From luxury island hotels where you can dine on the beach, being served the most wonderful seafood, whilst gazing at the Indian Ocean, to your own luxury villa on the beach where your permanent staff cater for your every need. Each villa has its own top class chef who will conjure up some of the finest meals you can imagine. Large hotels, small hotels, cosy 2 bedroom cottages to majestic 6 bedroom villas. The choice is yours.

Some Internet Marketing Mistakes To Watch Out For

April 21st, 2012 by admin No comments »

Internet marketing has become an essential way for business owners to increase their revenue and bring more users to their sites. There are many marketing methods that are quite effective, but if you do the wrong thing you can do great harm to your business. You should keep your eyes open and make sure that you do not do any of the following things.

Do not send emails to customers too often. While users may have signed up for email updates, most of them do not want to receive emails so often that it starts to clutter up their inboxes. Send out regular emails, but limit the content to those things that you feel are very important and have some importance to customers. Also, do the best that you can to compile most of the information you have into the same email so that you can cut down on the amount of emails you are sending.

Watch out for the language that you use on your emails. Words like “free” and “limited time” may seem like they would attract more people, but the truth is that you will come off looking like you are desperate for business. Another downside to doing that is the fact that most email clients take emails that have those words and automatically send them to the junk mail folder, which means your intended audience, may never even get the emails. Here at SEO South Yorkshire we can help solve this problem.

Do not make huge, dramatic promises in your emails and other marketing materials that you know may not be able to be honoured. When customers hear promises that have them expecting you to deliver and failure to do so will disappoint them. In the end you will lose customers because you could not live up to what you led them to expect.
Always be sure to have an internet privacy statement that is easily accessible by anyone that visits your site. This will help your customers feel like you are concerned with their privacy and that you will do all that you can to make sure that their information stays safe. Use simple wording in your privacy statement so that it is easy for them to understand. If you have a problem with this contact IT Support South Yorkshire If you start using words that the average person cannot comprehend they will feel as if you are hiding something.

Do not give access to your social media accounts to too many people. It is important that the voice of the company stays consistent. If you have too many people talking it may make the user view your company as being confusing and not too sure of their own message.

All of the missteps highlighted above are very simple to avoid. If one or all of these mistakes are made it could have heavy consequences. Look out for these and make sure that you do the bast that you can to be a success with all of your marketing efforts. It is okay if you make a mistake or two at first, but do your best to make them a thing of the past. We can help Doncaster SEO solve this problem.

Gift Giving for Mom

April 20th, 2012 by admin No comments »

It is only a month from now, can you guess, what special day is coming up? For those that hate this game, I will make it easy for you, Mother’s Day! Celebrating, enjoying or remembering mother is one of my preferred holidays. Yes, I am slightly partial in that I am a mother, but I expressing how much I cherish and praise her. I’m corny, but when you do not have alot of family, you are thankful for what you do have even more. The difficult thing about Mother’s Day isn’t my ability to verbally express my love for mother, it is a way to show it through gifts purchased or made. I must reveal, I do select the perfect cards and regularly add my personal thoughts, but back to my inability to find the perfect gift. I thought to myself, I can’t be the only one out there with this dilemma, so I chose to construct a list of promising gift ideas. I made up 3 lists to divde all of them. Conserving coin is on the top of several people’s “to-do” list.

1. Traditional: Flowers are a good staple. What person does not enjoy having a bouquet of gorgeous and colorful flowers? Of course, there is also the fruit bouquets or boxes. Yummy and healthy, perfect combination! On the flip side, there is chocolate! What woman doesn’t love chocolate? Dark, milk, white, sugar free, comes in so many forms and shapes. Jewelry is also a great option. You can get one of the those #1 Mom necklaces or a family tree with everyone’s birthstone. The classic baked homemade goodies or any made by hand project is a winner too! Of course many things today come engraved, digital or otherwise. Photoframes, cups, mouse pads or even key chains. A photo book could also fit the bill, you can personalize it and add comments. For instance plenty of websites offer photo book options and they even have coupons. You could try Snap Fish deals. Even your child’s handprint would be a awesome idea and cost effective. Overall, these are pretty traditional and believe me there is nothing wrong with that. Everyone loves a little tradition.

2. Gift Certificates: Maybe mother has a favorite department store she enjoys to window shop at or restaurant she loves eating at. Restaurant.com offers plenty of ideas and savings on their gift cards. Spoil her to a meal that includes dessert! One can even get a ittle clever and make-up your own gift certificate for special one on one time with you and the family. I always think of the Friends episode when Joey has a certificate for “Joey time”. Funny, but I am sure you would make an impression on her, especially if it is hand-made. C’mon she deserves it! Gift certificates are easy and that way mother can pick out when and where she enjoys her gift. In addition, they won’t spoil or die on her.

3. Personal Touch: Personalized stationary or special cards from you dedicated to mom are great! She could use it on an everyday basis and think of you at the same time. You could go with a license plate frame and tell the person in traffic behind your mom that she is loved and the best mom on this planet. A Spa day, massage, facial, hair day, manicure and pedicure day works with or without you. Clothes are also a good alternative, work out or dress. Does mother have a hobby? Crystals, stuffed animals, spoons? Contribute to her collection. Maybe she needs to get away from it all with a trip or vacation. Cruises or even a little road trip to wine country would do the trick. The right touch makes all the difference.

Some of these of course, could merge into all 3 lists depending on how you work it. Like the old adage, the very best things in life are free! Meaning the best gift of all,is YOU or as my mom says, her grandchild. Oh one more gift you can offer, grandkids!

Weight Loss Pills – A Key Weapon Against Extra fat

April 20th, 2012 by admin No comments »

Unfortunately, there are so many fat loss supplements on the market that you may become overwhelmed. And to help you with this perspective we have compiled a short guide regarding fat loss supplements, to help you choose the most effective products for you, so that you can get the results that you desire so much: burn fat and get a slim and toned body. Learn more with the articles below:

www.proactolplusdetails.com/proactol-scam/

www.proactolplusdetails.com/does-proactol-work/

www.allhealthreviews.com/does-phen375-work/

For starters, you should understand that there are numerous categories or types of supplements. Each type has been designed to give certain results according to the general needs of the individual. Also, they act in different manner to maximize the type of weight loss regime that the person is following. Mainly, supplements can be divided in four major categories: thermogenic fat burners, stimulant-free thermogenics, appetite suppressants and thyroid regulators. As you might have noticed we have made no reference to calorie control products.

Calorie control products are a separate line of fat burning products which come alongside supplements. The main goal of this product line is to add additional support to the weight loss program and increase results. The difference between these and supplements is that they do not stimulate the body to burn off extra calories, but act as simple nutrition regulators, providing the body with the proper nutrients needed in order to maintain the needed energy levels for your training. The most significant calorie control products are: low calorie bars, meal replacement powders and low calorie protein.

The first fat loss supplements type on the list is thermogenic fat burners. The main focus of these supplements is to increase your body’s temperature and your metabolic rate so that you will increase the amount of calories burned. An increase in your metabolic rate will result in an increase in the amount of calories you burn even while you are conducting your everyday activities or resting. The formula of this type of supplements has varied significantly during the past years, resulting in significantly improved products with high result rates.

Stimulant-free thermogenics fat loss supplements is the stimulant free alternative of thermogenic fat burners. This means that the basic principle is the same, with the sole difference that these supplements do not contain supplements. So, the results are not as high as the supplements which contain stimulants.

The third fat loss supplements category is appetite suppressants. As you might have guessed from the name, this supplement type will decrease your appetite and thus you will be able to lose weight by consuming a lower amount of calories. This type of supplement is not indicated for those that have the tendency to eat even though they do not feel hungry.

The last type of fat loss supplements on the list is thyroid regulators. This type of supplements has been designed to replace thyroid synthesized substances. They will help you to regulate the function of your thyroid gland and stimulate it to function at higher levels. For optimal results it is recommended that you combine these with a proper diet and exercise regime. Word of caution: This is not considered a replacement for doctor’s counsel.

Using Federal Withholding Tables Effectively

April 19th, 2012 by admin No comments »

For both employers and employees, federal withholding tables can provide valuable information for tax preparation and for financial planning. These tables are designed to show readers how much federal income tax should be withheld during each pay period for an employee based on the employee’s status and income bracket.

For employers, these tax tables can provide an accurate figure of the amount of money that the employer should withhold from an employee’s wages in order to comply with tax regulations. For employees, these tables can provide an idea of the amount of money that is going to be withheld from their wages during each pay period. In order to accurately use these tables, it is necessary to know the person’s income range and the tax status, which means whether they are single, head of household or married. All of these factors are displayed on this kind of table, and users can figure out their withholding amount by finding their status and income range.

When it comes to doing your taxes, this is something that can be rather confusing, especially if you do not have the help of a tax professional or even some kind of tax software. But the good news is that there is a lot of helpful information out there that can assist you in getting the right numbers plugged in and figuring out your taxes in a way to maximize the amount you get back, or minimize the amount that you end up having to pay! So one thing that you will want to have access to before even starting your taxes this year are federal withholding tables. This will tell you how much of your income is going to be taxed and at what percentage, as this tends to vary depending on the amount of money that you made during the year. So be sure to use federal withholding tables when figuring out your federal income tax!

Dallas Cowboy Helmet

April 17th, 2012 by admin No comments »

America’s most popular blue and silver star is probably the one on the Dallas Cowboys helmet. For any fan, a signed or not-signed Dallas Cowboys helmet is a valuable collectible. Design is not a singular peculiarity here as the Cowboys are the only NFL team that add the player’s name under the helmet stripe. Cowboys’ history has seen several modifications of the helmet, and the first color variations go in the 70s. At the time, the crown of the Dallas Cowboys helmet had a red-white-blue stripe instead of the usual blue-white-blue.

This change in the Dallas Cowboys helmet pattern was made to honor the United States bicentennial anniversary in 1976. There are situations when silver helmets can be used helping players send a certain message. The absence of the silver-blue star was used in the 1994-1995 playoffs during one game just to get the league-wide ‘throwback’ policy in the spotlight. The modifications in the Cowboys’ uniform are an event that many people are eager to witness. The rarity of such occurrences makes the situation quite a piece of news in football.

In terms of memorabilia, the Dallas Cowboys helmet is the pinnacle of a great collection. There is a great sense of pride for a fan to come to own such an item, particularly if you manage to get an autograph too. Authentic Dallas Cowboys helmet models are available with many stores, they are a bit more expensive and they care special certification. Most people who purchase such items have an interest in increasing their connection with the team since they come to belong to a group and identify with the Cowboys field ‘personality’.

A true fan will not feel pleased until he/she manages to get a real Dallas Cowboys helmet as a way to improve the collection and be able to show off. There are lots of other memorabilia that carry the unique logo and star symbol present on the Dallas Cowboys helmet too, usually socks, watches, jerseys and posters. They become inspirational items and a wonderful means people use to show preference or express support. A collector will hardly have the chance to wear the Dallas Cowboys helmet in a game, but at least he/she can take pride in the collection.
